According to the manufacturer's website, a dual tuner is integrated. The TV picture is either generated by the tuner of the Bluray player and output via HDMI or directly from the tuner of your TV as usual. In principle, you have more options for watching or recording channels "at the same time", depending on whether you are using the TV or the player.Ultimately, the tuner of the TV or the player is responsible for the quality of the picture. In the case of the TV, additional functions of the TV itself may contribute to optimising the picture display. However, this has nothing to do with whether the cable goes through the player or directly to the TV. The cable signal is simply forwarded.

Helpful answer

Hi Patrik.mueller. According to many sites such as Amazon and testberichte.de, Netflix should work on the device. It's a shame that digitec doesn't mention such features directly in the specifications.

yes, but not a particularly good device. It was repaired twice within 1 3/4 years, now it's broken again and I don't have the energy to revive it. Since then, no more Samsung products have entered my home. Simply cheap crap.

Is the built-in TV tuner also 4K capable?

According to http://www.samsung.com/ch/consumer/tv-av/audio-video/blu-ray-dvd-player/BD-H8900/EN/, "Samsung UHD Picture Engine Upscaling" takes place. Depending on the interpretation of "This means that not only UHD sources are displayed with a sharp 4-K resolution...", I would answer your question "probably".
