One or two tuners are built into the Samsung Blu Ray player H8900. The antenna cable goes to the Blu Ray and from there back to the TV. Basic question: Is the TV picture produced by the Blu Ray tuner or by the TV tuner? Are there differences in picture quality in this sense? Or in other words, is the TV picture (TV tuner) better with a direct cable connection?
According to the manufacturer's website, a dual tuner is integrated.
The TV picture is either generated by the tuner of the Bluray player and output via HDMI or directly from the tuner of your TV as usual. In principle, you have more options for watching or recording channels "at the same time", depending on whether you are using the TV or the player.Ultimately, the tuner of the TV or the player is responsible for the quality of the picture. In the case of the TV, additional functions of the TV itself may contribute to optimising the picture display. However, this has nothing to do with whether the cable goes through the player or directly to the TV. The cable signal is simply forwarded.
