4 portafilters are supplied; single-walled and double-walled, each for 1 espresso and 2 espressos.
I had mine with a removable one. So not sure. It leaks a bit. But it is not really a problem. I am still enjoying this coffee machine.

According to "@coffee_kev" on youtube, you can.
According to the manufacturer, the water does not come into contact with raw aluminium in any machine. There are different materials for the different models: plastic or silicone hoses as well as stainless steel (e.g. boiler).
