So with manual operation, you can only clean everything or go to the dock.
With the app you simply have more options
Zone cleaning, specific rooms and setting up the whole thing.
This could be because dynamic pricing has struck again, or the model is not readily available, so it can also happen that the prices go up.
However, I would not choose the S6 Pure hoover (Pure stands for slimmed down), because it is worse than the better equipped S6 Max model and an even better S6 MaxV with the much larger wiping tank and 3D object recognition via camera would already be available for 420 francs.
Roborock S6 MaxV
1. yes, a wipe function is available. It vacuums at the front and "wipes" afterwards. But it is really just a damp wipe afterwards, not a real back-and-forth wipe as with a pure mop.
2. it learns the outlines on its own. After that, you can make subdivisions.
3. the app works well with Android.
He takes the hair very well. We have 2 longhaired cats and I also have long hair. If you clean it every time after cleaning and remove the hair that gets caught in the brush, it's no problem. We are very pleased with the Roborock.
No, it is an additional accessory (supplied) and only the accessory is used for wet cleaning.
You can do different programmes and one time you only wipe dry and the other time you wipe wet.
Hey Phibe, I own 2 of them and you can name both devices and control them individually in the app. I even have access to my parents' Roborock so I can start 3 robots. If I understand correctly, the robot saves the map locally and shares it with the app. So you have several maps for one home.
I hope this helped you.
I have the Roborock S6 MaxV, it also recognises objects standing around with the camera. I would recommend this one. The brushes are so super soft, they can't scratch anything.

Navigation is even more accurate with the cameras than with lasers and sensors.
The Roborock requires a Wi-Fi connection. The smartphone must be on the same network for setup. So it would have to be an external 4G Wi-Fi router. It also needs a permanent internet connection to operate the device.
No I don't think so, however I have made a connection through the hotspot of my mobile without any problem, wi-fi 2.4 ghz of course, however pay attention to the size of your home as it needs its constant connection, it must be of good quality, it is a great product with excellent value for money.
Ciao, I also think that spare parts should be offered here directly. However, you can find them much cheaper on AliExpress than they could ever be offered by Digitec.
I last ordered these for the S6 and am satisfied with the quality: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000115391958.html They also have all the matching brushes and filters for the S5.
The S6 is very sensitive and avoids shoes and the like without any problems. The other day I observed that it even drove along the curtain without pushing it away.
I did some research and found out that the S6 Pure has
- has two less "drop sensors" (which doesn't seem to limit it in any way)
- comes with fewer accessories (but only the wet cleaning cloths)
- has a simpler docking station (without integrated cable management)
- the parking plate on the docking station is thinner and for sticking on the floor (S6 has a more solid plate for sticking on).
In terms of suction / mopping performance, the S6 and S6 Pure are obviously completely identical.
Yes, that works perfectly. It will finish vacuuming the first room and then stop. Then you can carry it to the second room and start it again. Then it finishes vacuuming the room.
By the way, the Roborock S5 Max would be the better model, it doesn't cost much more:

However, there is another alternative that could also be interesting, there is the Dreame D9 from Xiaomi, it is comparable to the S6 Pure and S5 Max in terms of suction power, it also has laser navigation, but it cannot handle carpet fringes well. The Roborock can do that much better. If you have carpet fringes, it is better to use a Roborock S5 Max. If there are no carpets with fringes, then a Dreame D9 also works super well. It has a larger dust container than the two Roborocks, i.e. you don't have to empty it as often. The Dreame D9 has a capacity of 570 ml (the S5 Max has 460 ml).
Xiaomi Dreame D9
Yes, the S6 Pure model is an economy version of the S6, which has more sensors and is therefore technically somewhat better. In addition to laser LIDAR navigation and map generation, the S6 MaxV model also uses stereo cameras that enable 3D object recognition, i.e. only the S6 MaxV could recognise a lamp base or a scale as such and drive around it. The object recognition database is stored in the S6 MaxV and is constantly being expanded so that this robot is the only one of the three that can learn something. The S6 and S6 Pure rely on infrared sensors to detect objects. The MaxV is a little more expensive, but it is the best of the three, so if you need the hoover to go around things that are left lying around instead of over them, the S6 MaxV would be the best solution.
But they all clean well :).
