Hi LuckyFelix, The internal impedance at the headphone output of the AI-1 cannot be read directly from the technical specifications in the "User Guide". But it is still possible to draw 24mW with 32-ohm headphones and 245mW with 300-ohm headphones at a THD of 1%. I use the AI-1 with a Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro (250 ohms). This high-impedance load is no problem for the headphone amplifier - I don't even need to turn it up to a third of the maximum volume! Greetings, Kurt
Unfortunately, I cannot answer this question directly. In my experience, however, the adapter can very well be to blame. I use the Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro and have absolutely no noise. I would try a different adapter... or a different headphone... to rule out the Rhode as a problem.
How did you plug it in? With which adapter?
Hoi L.bieli, I assume that you have connected the KRK ROKIT 7 to the balanced line outputs. According to Focusrite, the maximum output level of the Scarlett Solo is +15.5dBu, but according to Røde that of the AI-1 is only -6dBu. That's 21.5dB less. I assume that the noise has to do with the higher gain at the ROKIT input. You lose a lot of signal-to-noise ratio there. Greetings, Kurt
According to the information found, no.
