Hi, I played with the ddj 200 on the iPad. Works well for starters, but after 2 months I bought a bigger setup as it was quite limited with the ddj 200 and tablet. Laptop and ddj 400 or newer version FLX 4 will probably last you longer.

As far as I can see, the Pioneer DDJ 200 can only be connected via Bluetooth. It has no other plug inputs than the USB power plug. I don't know what a UE Boom is but my son has connected the DDJ 200 to his I Pod via Bluetooth. This works fine. The speakers run via a dual cable via Ipod. Without an additional device PC, tablet or something, I don't think the DDJ can be operated. It also needs an app, which can be downloaded for free.

No, unfortunately not. But you can stream music via Spotify and other services. Great device for starting out as a DJ. Super mobile thanks to its compact size. Absolutely recommended purchase.
You can only play tracks that you have bought or that are on your hard drive, but Apple Music unfortunately cannot. I also think it's stupid, but that's the way it is.

Yes, the DDJ-200 is compatible with the djay pro version of Windows. Just plug the USB cable and the aux cable into the laptop and create the configuration in the software.
Then connect the speakers and headphones to the aux cable and off you go.
Could not use the device, returned again.

There is a splitter in the package where you connect the speakers in one jack and the headphones to the other. Alternatively if you have Bluetooth speakers, you can use virtual DJ as a software which gives you the option to send the master audio to the speakers and the headphone audio to the headphone plug of your computer
The DDJ-400 is not only a controller, but also has an integrated sound card (audio interface) and thus 1 chinch output for the main/master signal and 1 jack output for headphones. I suspect it will also be a bit bigger and heavier, but you can read that yourself from the respective product data sheets.
The DDJ-200 therefore has only one USB connection. The audio signal can be output via the normal headphone output in the PC, but I advise against this for professional use (quality/noise).
The audio signal (or several) can also be output via any interface supported by your OS. For example: NI Audio A8, NI Audio A6,... or integrated in the mixer like DJM-900NXS or even via a sound card integrated in the CD player like the CDJ-2000 which all deliver a very good sound.
Since almost all venues are now equipped with the more recent Pioneer CDJ and DJM devices, the DDJ-200 is also suitable for professional applications, but requires more knowledge and is therefore less plug and play capable.
