Are the LEDs splash-proof, so can they be used in the bathroom? I would like to replace the existing spotlights and make the light dimmable so that it is not so dreadfully bright in the morning, especially in winter. Thank you.

Yes feasible but lamp holder should have GU10 socket. I have one in the bathroom with an outdoor lamp.
