My guess is that the "cheap" one is the newer generation one with Bluetooth (BT). Whereas the other one is the version without BT. Since it is an older model AND it is provided by Pfister, this could explain the more expensive price. I would go for the BT version. Another remark is that the specs of the BT bulb are not 100% correct, since from the official site, the lifetime should be 25'000 hours. The Wattage of the bulb is in fact 9W. But the BT/Wireless circuit needs also power, this could explain the 9.5W consumption listed here.
Yes it is. You can recognize it from the color of the writing on the bulb. 3rd gen = golden, 2nd = black
White and coloured, as desired. These lamps can do everything. Light colour has nothing to do with colours such as blue, red, green, etc. https://www.philips-hue.com/de-ch/p/hue-white---color-ambiance-doppelpack--e14/8718696695241
No, the Bridge forms the basis. And if you want to switch on and off without a smartphone, you also need the switch.
You are absolutely right. I also bought this set and the White & Color lamps are - who would have thought it - even coloured. But it's always good to look at it carefully and question it. I have already bought the wrong lamps at least once because I didn't look carefully *g*.
Hoi Leleo77. The version with Ambiance should be the "old" version without Bluetooth. Bluetooth is quite superfluous for someone who seriously wants to operate a Hue system at home.
Yes, the colour can be adjusted individually.
Now it seems to be working again.
No, this is the version where you need the Bridge. Philips Hue Bridge
Unfortunately not :(
This lamp requires the Philips Hue hub/bridge to operate.
Is possible without any problems. I have also equipped a floor lamp with Philips Hue.
Unfortunately, they don't exist in Switzerland and there are no plans to introduce them. :-(
Yes IP 44 works well outdoors as long as the luminaire is protected from splashing water.
Yes, but only in combination with the Hue Bridge (and all other cool functions only work with it). You can programme routines in the app. Among others also the Wake Up Routine.
The White variant should suffice for this.
yes works tiptop
Feller is a new "Friends of Hue" partner. Philips has announced that Feller switches will be available for the Hue Bridge in Q4, i.e. the Hue Bridge will be able to recognise Feller switches.
I alternate between green, yellow and red and play reggae music at the weekends. My plants love it. They are big and strong
The dimming function of the lamp can only be addressed via the HUE control. However, there is also a dimmer switch from HUE. With a conventional dimmer, the voltage is turned down, but I'm not sure if the HUE lamp can handle this, as it already has a dimmer in its electronics. In any case, Philips HUE support advises against using a conventional dimmer on a HUE lamp, as the electronics can be damaged.
Unfortunately yes, expensive but cool
Yes, this is possible. The Bridge in the starter set supports up to 50 lamps. Further information: https://static.digitecgalaxus.ch/Files/4/9/1/8/1/8/1/Philips-596743976-929001180601_pss_deuch.pdf
In order to be able to control a Hue luminaire, a bridge (control centre) is required, which controls the individual luminaires via the network (a bridge can control up to 50 luminaires) ... can be found here: https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s14/product/philips-hue-bridge-leuchtmittel-5628454. The entire programming of the luminaire, such as the time control in your case, can then be easily set via an app.
I know that you can use other lamps on the Philips HUE. Unfortunately, I don't know if it works the other way round. You might want to ask Google. Without knowing exactly which "other manufacturers" you mean, I can't give you a definitive answer.
