You cannot see directly in the Philips Hue app whether a window is currently open without a notification or an alarm being triggered. The sensor sends notifications when the contact between the sensor and magnet breaks, which means that you will receive a message when the window is opened. However, there is no function that shows the current status of the window in real time without triggering an action.

Yes, it is possible to pair the alarm function of the Philips Hue Secure contact sensor with a Hue switch and deactivate or activate it at the touch of a button. You can configure the Hue switch to perform additional actions, such as deactivating or activating the contact sensor. To do this, you can create scenes or routines in the Hue app that are controlled by the switch. For example, you can set a button press on the switch to deactivate or activate the group in which the contact sensor is integrated. You can also use special recipes in Hue Labs, such as the 'Sensor snooze' function, which can be activated via a dimmer to temporarily deactivate the sensor.

My answer 1: The Contact sensor can, via the Hue app, trigger all (or some) lights in one (or more) room(s) or zone(s). You can therefore "control" an outlet in one or other location. The app will simply point out that it's not wise to leave such an accessory unattended. It's up to you to ignore this warning. My answer 2: The Contact sensor does not appear, on the day and at the time of my reply, as a light or as an accessory in the automations of the official Hue app. Does it appear in a third-party application? I'm not sure. I hope I've answered your questions.

Hi Pascal I bought a Zigbee plug and integrated it into Hue. When the door opener opens, the light on the plug comes on for 5 minutes. Yes, you can define a time window when this should and should not run. all in the Hue app Greetings Tom
