The lids are intended for storage and do not have a drinking opening/closure. These smaller 'cups' fit perfectly with the glass jug's blender jug attachment so that you can blend the contents directly in the cup without having to use the glass jug. So all very practically and usefully 'designed'.

Hello Aneesha I have also chopped carrots and onions in this blender. For the best and quickest result, I cut the carrots into small pieces beforehand (not whole carrots in the blender). I use a meat grinder for meat :-) Hope that helps! I'm very happy with this blender myself. Have fun :-)

I am very satisfied, the appliance is powerful. I can't name a comparable volume. But I don't use the blender in the morning when everyone is still asleep. Maybe that helps.

We have the HR3760/12 and I didn't realise the difference between it and the 10-jug version at the time. What I would consider today is the Philips HR3770/10. This model has the same glass jug, but with an additional juicer. This cannot be purchased separately. The model above comes with two additional plastic containers to take the smoothies with you. I have never needed them.
