Please get in touch with the Digitec customer support directly (digitec@digitec.ch). This is just the Digitec Community and the Digitec staff might not always check this out so often. Your topic (a complaint) should go to the customer care.

The appropriate replacement filter for the Philips «Series 2000 (38 m²)» humidifier, model HU4811/10, is the Philips FY2401/10 humidification filter. You can also use compatible replacement filters such as the Comedes filter set, which is designed to replace the Philips FY2401/10 filter.

It looks like the one for 25 square metres has a hygrostat installed that regulates the humidity. Unfortunately, this is not the case with the 38 square metre unit I have.

The humidifier is mainly used in winter at an air temperature of 22-23 degrees. It runs for about 4-5 hours a day and relieves the flat of excessive dust caused by heating. The humidifier is cleaned weekly and a new filter is installed every autumn. This should prevent bacteria from forming. We haven't noticed anything unusual, we have had the humidifier for a long time and no one has ever been ill because of it.

Can we use essential oils with this device?

There is a foam inside which is supposed to trap the lime and I think that essential oil could stay on this foam and deteriorate it. I would recommend a diffuser that is designed to run on distilled water.

Is it possible to add a fragrance?

Hello Saskia, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, only pure water should be filled into the humidifier. We would therefore advise you not to use fragrances, as these can contaminate the product, which could lead to a very unpleasant smell. Of course, we hope that you are still satisfied with your device. :-) If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us via social media. We are available for you on Facebook (http://to.philips/6182GCna0) and Twitter (http://to.philips/6183GCnaF). Best regards Your Philips Care Team
