I ordered these lamps and suddenly I see the English note "These Products do not have ECE approval and must NOT be used on public roads....." on the back. These lamps may therefore NOT be installed and used on public roads. My question to Galaxus: Why are buyers not made aware of this?

Are there w21/5w bulbs that are LED based and approved for road use? Are these lamps really not approved for road use?

Yes, there are LED-based W21/5W bulbs from OSRAM that can replace conventional incandescent bulbs and are approved for road use. The OSRAM LEDriving SL W21/5W lamps are specially developed to serve as an ideal LED replacement solution for P21/5W lamps and offer high brightness and different light colours for different applications. These lamps are not approved for road use.

Yup, these are approved for road traffic. Basically, the colour of the LEDs is decisive. Green or blue is not possible. But white is no problem at all. Galaxus declares replacement lamps with a corresponding note if they are not approved.
