So far we only have the information that the adapters will be available in the course of the first quarter, but unfortunately it is not yet clear whether we will be able to offer it afterwards or whether you have to ask/order directly from Nuki. As soon as we receive information, we will add it to the product.
In the meantime, the price has been adjusted. However, pricing is generally (and everywhere) made up of several factors. Employees of Galaxus have often written that price changes are, for example, daily price adjustments that develop, among other things, from the conditions of the respective suppliers.
The current price also depends on such factors.
According to Digitec: So far we only have the information that the adapters will be available in the course of the first quarter, but unfortunately it is not yet clear whether we will be able to offer them afterwards or whether you have to ask/order them directly from Nuki. As soon as we receive information, we will add it to the product.
You can set the time after which Nuki automatically locks again (30 sec to 30 min). If the door is closed during this time, Nuki automatically locks immediately. But the door sensor is not 100% reliable.
You can order the adapter for free directly at shop.nuki.io. Just choose the lock manufacturer (for me it was Kaba).
Combo CH is for the typical Swiss round cylinders.
Yes, if you install the Nuki app on your Android phone, you can open the door with it. With the Bridge it is also possible to access Nuki outside the Bluetooth range, i.e. on the road with a data subscription or wifi.
Currently the adapter has to be ordered directly from Nuki (free of charge, delivery takes about 4 working days). However, a new Nuki 2.0 version is needed for the knob cylinder, which has a suitable recess for it. I don't know if Galaxus already ships these.
Unfortunately, we cannot say this, because we receive the products from different suppliers and when a sale takes place, a new batch is ordered immediately. In addition, in the case of a sale, it is not possible to control which item you would receive from the warehouse.
Hello Spart
According to the manufacturer's website, the version 2.0 board is compatible with ZigBee, but not yet enabled (https://nuki.io/de/smart-lock/). I myself use the Nuki with the original bridge.
I don't know of a system that can manage nello and Nuki. I use both together via a cloud solution. But I don't think there is anything there. nello necessarily only works via the cloud, since nello communicates directly with its own servers.
Kind regards
Flo
Yes, that is possible. For example, I have Nuki locks installed at friends' houses, in my business and privately. I can operate all of them from my smartphone. You then have a pot full of locks in the app, which - as far as I could find out - can only be sorted in order (and you can still set favourites - separate view). With 20 locks, it's sometimes a bit of a search-and-find game (at the moment, October 2021).
My front door has this too, no problem, if you forget to put the latch up, Nuki says that the lock is blocked. if you then put the latch up, everything goes back to normal.
Hello Mr_lucky. That depends on your lock cylinder. There are both! But you can simply test it - insert a key all the way into the cylinder from the inside. Can you still open/close the lock with a second key from the outside?
Then you have a lock cylinder that can be "operated from both sides at the same time".
Attention to those who want to buy a Nuki for the knob cylinder. I bought my Nuki Smart Lock 2.0 a week ago here at Digitec and then noticed that I need an adapter. I ordered it directly from Nuki and found out that there seem to be different versions of the Nuki Smart Lock 2.0. The adapter does not fit into the Nuki I got from Digitec. This is ONLY for locking systems with key. I have now called the Nuki support. They exchanged the Nuki Smart Lock 2.0 for me.
Therefore order the Nuki for knob cylinders directly from the manufacturer as long as Digitec can't offer the matching Smart Locks as well. Otherwise there will be disappointed faces at the customer and more effort at Digitec.
Things are bad with this one.
All data goes over the internet.
In case of connectivity with the bridge, i.e. with WLan and not with Bluetooth, JSON dumps containing among others your address go via HTTPS to the Nuki servers. They will then open your door if you have sent the correct "secret". If you open the lock with Bluetooth only, the data will be sent via your mobile phone, i.e. via the app.
You have to create an account and are dependent on their servers, so if the company goes bankrupt you are out of luck... see Nello, a company that also specialises in making door openers smart and went bankrupt last year and was able to sell itself at the last moment to an Italian smarthome company (Sclak), of course with all customer data.
In short, you pay for convenience not only with money but also with your privacy and security.
Am I missing something or this is a bit dangerous ?
Most recent lock (at least in Geneva) doesn't allow 2 keys to be inserted at the same time.
So, if for any reason, Nuki is stuck, I did not replace the battery in time (I know it warn me), or any other hardware issue. How can I enter my house ?
My spare key won't open the door since there is already 1 key in the cylinder, and if I have to call someone to break the door, since they are the new fireproof door, it's gonna cost me X'000CHF.
Am I missing something ?
