Yes! All 3DS games can also be played on the 2DS.

I would say yes, but if you want to be sure, I would go pick up the game at a branch on the 23rd. (At least, that's what I always do with urgent "deliveries").
Yes, you can, but only at the beginning of the game. So if you start a game in Japanese, you have to start over to play in English.

Question was answered by an edit to another question. Release is 23.
This depends entirely on whether we receive enough units for the release. As a rule, however, pre-orderers should be able to expect delivery at the start of sales.

EDIT: For Europe, the release date is effectively set for 23.11. Unfortunately, we were unable to ship the games earlier.
We are very sorry for the previously stated misinformation and apologise for the inconvenience.
Provided we get the game in stock early enough, we will ship it so that pre-orderers will have it in their mailboxes on 18.11.
