Yes, the part should actually work. Superegos are built for expression pedals.

I don't think you should use an on/off pedal or a sustain pedal, but there are also bypass pedals, just google them with the search engine....

I have a Krk 10s subwoofer. It is possible to activate a "Bypass Subwoofer Footswitch". This means that when I press the button, the sound goes directly to the monitor speakers and not out of the subwoofer. Can this footswitch be used as such a button?

I don't think so. It is not a switch, but an expression pedal. I would use a switch.
