According to research, this speaker weighs approx. 700 g. :) Unfortunately, we had to remove the 700 kg version from our range because the post office did not want to send it to us. (Thank you, I have just reported the error).

what do you think, is the Emberton or a JBL Charge 4 more worthwhile? (also in terms of size and appearance)

Arrived today: all bars full when I plug in the charging cable, as soon as I remove it from the charging cable it goes off but when I press the start button (2-5 seconds) nothing happens. Does it need an initial charge even though the bars are full?

No, you cannot listen to the radio directly. The Marshall Emberton speaker can only play back what is transmitted to it via Bluetooth from an external device (mobile phone, tablet, etc.).
