Is this tripod also suitable for other camera brands than just the SONY Alpha? E.g. Nikon?

Where does it say that it is specifically suitable for Sony Alpha Kamers? Of course you can mount any camera on any tripod. However, I would only mount lighter cameras with not too long lenses on this lightweight travel tripod.

I bought the tripod and would like to buy another plate without notches. The current one (orange) has a notch as a stop for Sony DSLMs. I would like to mount my BMPCC4K on it.

Probably any Arca Swiss compatible plate will fit. However, I would recommend an L-bracket or better a cage from Smallrig.com: SmallRig BM Pocket Cinema Camera (Cage)
