I have now done it and hope to be able to help you with the following contribution. I have a separate user with admin rights on my PC. My assumption is that when the installation runs with the separate admin user after password entry, the plugin is not installed in the %appdata% of the user who performed the installation, but in the %appdata% of the admin user. To solve this problem, you can either copy the plug-in from the %appdata% of the admin user or give the user admin rights and install the software again. The copying is done as follows: 1. open the folder %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules in the explorer (%appdata% is resolved to C:/Users/Admin/Appdata/Roaming for me as admin). 2. copy the folder "loupedeck2.lrplugin" to a place where the normal user account has access. In my case this was the D drive: 3. log out as admin and log in as normal user 4. copy the folder to %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules 5. start Lightroom 6. click on File > Add-on Module Manager and there on "Add 7. go to the folder %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules and double click on the folder "loupedeck2.lrplugin Start the Loupedeck software if it is not already running. 9. 9. plug in the Loupedeck 10. all buttons will work in the latest Lightroom version.

I was able to carry out a search and unfortunately could not find any different hardware versions. If there are such hardware versions, the manufacturer unfortunately does not differentiate between the EAN codes. This means that it is not possible to trace which version was delivered.

The Loupedeck has become an indispensable tool for me in photo editing with Lightroom Classic. The knobs are more precise and easier to use than the sliders with the mouse. I have placed my most important presets on function keys of the Loupedeck and so they can be called up simply by pressing a button. The learning curve is short and the setup software is easy to use. Today I use the Loupedeck under MacOS BigSur on an iMacPro, but it has also worked without problems under Catalina. My most recently processed photos can be seen in this virtual exhibition: https://artspaces.kunstmatrix.com/de/exhibition/3008056/botswana-safari-2020 The Loupedeck is also so light that I took it with me on trips from time to time, when one could still travel without problems. In Photoshop, however, I prefer to work with the Wacom tablet, and have never tried the Loupedeck in Photoshop.

The feel and touch of the keys have been completely revised, there's nothing to complain about. The software has also been well revised. The configurability is very good. I think the part is really usable now. And if you already have a Loupedeck from the first version, Loupedeck will give you 40 euros back until the end of August.
