I have now connected my Anywhere 2S with my iPad and it works without any problems. You only have to activate AssistiveTouch in the settings and connect the mouse under AssistiveTouch/Pointing Devices/Devices (this is not possible directly in the Bluetooth settings).

Doesn't look like it, I didn't find any software for Linux on the download page. But if you're really interested, you can check out Synergy, a software that seems to do the same thing but doesn't need any special hardware. It also runs on Windows, OSX and Linux. I don't know the software, though, so I'd look into it more. https://symless.com/synergy (the site is a little slow) Hope I could help
