It’s not Bluetooth keyboard if that’s what you are asking. It comes with a (Unifying) dongle which you can put into a USB port.

What could be the reason that my keyboard is not charging? At least that's what I think because the charging indicator has always been red, even when I put the keyboard in the sun all day.

As with all batteries, the lifetime is limited. Replace the battery and continue to use it. I replaced the battery with a maxell ML2032 battery. There are instructions on the net on how to do this.

It says that this keyboard is compatible with Mac. Is it also compatible with Windows?

According to Logitech this is a product for Mac and Windows, so we cannot guarantee compatibility. Especially since the keyboard shortcuts are not the same. System requirements : Computers that support external keyboards macOS 10.14 or later USB connection: Available USB port required. Light source: Natural and/or artificial light
