To connect the monitor to an RTX 4000 with a DP 1.4 port, you will need a DP to USB-C adapter that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. The ThinkVision M14d uses USB-C with DisplayPort 1.2 Alt Mode, which means that it should be compatible with such an adapter as long as the adapter provides the required Alt Mode support. Note, however, that the maximum resolution and refresh rate are limited by the DisplayPort version of the monitor.

I had the same thought, as I would also connect the display to a Raspberry Pi, for example, but this only offers (micro)HDMI. You would need an adapter that outputs DP or HDMI together with power from USB to USB-C. This adapter is probably something like this Lindy HDMI to USB type C converter (0.30 m, USB type C, HDMI) I.e. HDMI and USB to the computer and the USB-C cable from the display into the adapter.
