The new Active Pen 2 has a sensitivity of 4096 pressure points, if you can put it that way. The pen of generation 1 had half that.

According to Lenovo support, the Pen Pro is better suited for the X1 Extreme
The pen does not have to be switched on or off. It is ready for use at any time.

Yes, it works. I have the same laptop and this pen.
This pen was also recommended to me, but it didn't work. I exchanged it for an Adonit. This one works quite well. Adonit Jot Pro 3
According to the Lenovo tool, it is compatible.
Perhaps Lenovo simply sells this "Wacom ESP10110C5" under a different name.
I have a yoga notebook myself and actually bought this pen by mistake, but it works fine with the yoga notebook.
