I ask myself the same question.
I could imagine that "coated surfaces" means the "rough" surfaces, such as on the Remarkable. Under "uncoated surfaces" I imagine glass surfaces like a Samsung tablet.
Despite Google, I am not sure whether my assumptions are confirmed ;-)
Maybe someone from digitec knows more about this, seems like this is the only place where the different tips are offered.
I would certainly check whether you really have a glossy and not a matt display. Otherwise, the description should fit, but I'm not sure if it will really work.
According to my research, the stylus with manufacturer number 1235588 (your link) has a "POM tip for coated surfaces", whereas the stylus on this product page (manufacturer number 1234290) has a PC/EL tip for uncoated surfaces. The stylus on this product page (manufacturer number 1234290) has a PC/EL tip for uncoated surfaces, which is suitable for smooth (glossy) surfaces.
