The device remote control only says for iOS? Does this mean that my Android phone does not accept commands from the headphones?

The headset with probably the best sound ever is used in my car and in the office with an Android smartphone. Works perfectly. Press and hold the middle button for phone calls. Short press for music pause. Press twice for next track, press three times for beginning or previous track. However, the volume cannot be adjusted via the headset.
