Hello The Kingston 8 GB, 1600 MHz, DDR3 RAM is compatible with your ASUS H81M-A motherboard. You can use them to upgrade your RAM capacity to 16 GB by installing two of these modules. Note that the modules should be installed in pairs for dual-channel operation.
On my side, this memory strip was never recognised by the system.
It would seem that I have an accounting problem, although I had read the SPECs of the existing strip.
In short, today, this laptop is gathering dust because I can't transform it into a simple movie player, I will have to use Linux to find a performing laptop
Yes should be compatible. I recommend updating the BIOS of the mainboard to the latest version before installing. Since you only have one RAM module now, I recommend removing it and replacing it with the two from here. This should result in much faster performance than having three modules (two or four modules is ideal). Put the modules in the same coloured slots.
I can't judge that, I installed it in a Lenovo ThinkPad T420 (year 2011) and looked at the interface carefully beforehand to see if the memory bar would fit. The information about the interface should be in the Apple technical description.
According to the specifications, this product should be compatible.
PS: As far as i know there is already 1x 8GB installed. So for 16GB you would only need 1 additional RAM stick.
Probably yes, but I always use the model-specific bars according to the Kingston website. In this case, their name starts with "KTA-MB1600", they are also in stock at Digitec and only slightly more expensive. The bars should be used in pairs (up to 4x 8 GB maximum), the 27" iMac has 4 total slots.
It is difficult to say. Mechanically they fit and the system would theoretically have support for 8GB, but the newer bars with the higher clock speeds sometimes require a higher voltage than older mainboards can provide. Often a BIOS update helps, but not always.
I suppose the replacement would work, but there is a small chance of failure unfortunately.
Hello The_Shun
According to Kingston, the RAM with the article number KCP3L16SD8/8 is compatible. The voltage on the item seems to be too high; DDR3L RAM is required. I could not find this article at Digitec, but at a competitor from Schaffhausen.
Good luck.
In the hardware application area, it says Standard, and it should certainly say Workstation / Server, otherwise it looks bad. The inexpensive Value products do not have ECC.
It is best to consult the manufacturer's compatibility list:

I would take these:

The RAM is compatible with the mainboard. However, since we do not know exactly which RAM is installed in the PC, we would recommend that you look at the RAM installed and order the same one.
i installed it in a pc. macs allow many things because they work on a 64bit basis. read up on what you can install. and otherwise install 2x8. i assume the 4 gb are 2x2? i would ask in a mac shop. they should know. i think mac allows many things... have fun with the powerbar... it already boosts a little... seeya..r
