The Kensington VeriMark Guard Fingerprint Security Key (manufacturer product ID: K64708WW) is not natively compatible with Linux, including Ubuntu. The device is primarily designed for use with Windows and does not have official support for Linux operating systems. While some users have attempted to use similar devices on Linux through various workarounds and configuration changes, there is no guaranteed or straightforward method to make the VeriMark Guard work seamlessly on Linux platforms. The device's proprietary encryption algorithms and lack of documentation from the manufacturer make it challenging to achieve reliable compatibility.

The K64709WW kensignton fingerprint key has an LED: it is the "white locK symbol" visible on the top side of the digitec image. I have not tested it with windows 11, but on windows 10 this key appears under: "USB Input Device / HID-compatible fido", and NOT under "Biometric devices". My understanding is that this key is NOT compatible with windows signing, but is compatible with FIDO2 via browsers. There are a few sites that allow you to test a fido2 key with your browser, e.g. https://www.token2.com/tools... Most recent browser support FIDO2 authentication via USB HID, without any driver installation.
