Yes works
According to my research, only HDMI 2.0a (CEA 863.1) officially supports HDR.
Don't buy the thing. The quality is extremely weak and offers no added value compared to "putting it on the desk". Unfortunately, I bought the SD7000 and am very disappointed. A standard Microsoft docking station is much better.
Yes, it also works with Surface Pro 4.
Unfortunately, this docking only works for the Pro models.
