Yes, more recent CPUs will probably no longer be offered for this socket. Currently, LGA 1151 is the standard for the latest Intel Skylake CPUs, for example.

Quite simple: the cpu is no longer produced by intel. if you want a brand new 5930k because otherwise it won't work, you'll have to pay.
