Hello, I have had an i7 5820K for a long time, now I wanted to update my system to windows 11 but the core is not supported? Why not, a lot of older ones are supported. Can anyone help me?

The CPU is not officially supported by Microsoft https://learn.microsoft.com/de-de... Microsoft has drawn a hard line there. You just have to stick with Windows 10, which is still supported until at least the end of 2025.

What kind of coolers would be recommended here? Does it play a big role? (I have a Midi Tower ATX with motherboard asus X99 DELUXE)

Hi Gaming, buy an i5... Enough. i7 you only need if you: Use programs that support more than 4 cores, e.g. in virtualisation, video editing, image editing etc.: Virtualisation, Video Editing, Image Editing etc. Most games support between 1-2 or sometimes even 4 cores. That's why it's better to get an i5 (my recommendation).
