For gaming, this hardly plays a role, rather for other applications that demand more from the CPU. Recommend, well, if you want, if you know how, if it's worth it. Sure! Otherwise you can leave it alone. I recommend that you research and understand the whole thing yourself. Then you can see for yourself whether the effort and the risks are worth it for the little bit of extra work.
This is an offer from an external service provider who has concluded a contract with Digitec. Unfortunately, these external providers are extremely antisocial when it comes to prices. Digitec itself no longer sells this CPU, hence the absurd price. It's especially bad with "Das Warenhaus CH", "Jacob DE"...
Hello Mikic
You just got the question answered here, didn't you?

What's going on here?
I have absolutely zero experience with the Optane. But for rendering, I would definitely go for one or two SSDs with 500+ GB, one for raw data and the other for OS + final data.
Additionally I would buy a GTX 1060 6GB (or higher), because modern render tools use the graphics card for rendering and are much faster than the CPU. New Photoshop and InDesign also use the graphics card to some extent.
I'm not an expert but I can say that I find this almost perfect, here are a few more productions that would fit better.
Instead of the 850 pro ssd, a 960 evo or pro, a little cheaper, but much much faster.
and put in a BitFenix Alchemy RGB, because it is also Asus Aura compatible.
Have fun with your PC,
LG
How often do you want to ask the same questions? Basically, I recommend the larger radiator for this CPU, if your case and budget allow it. However, both sizes are suitable for this product. Finally, it also depends on how much you intend to overclock the CPU.
I have noticed that the cores can have different clock frequencies, i.e. that not all cores (have to) have the same clock. This means that 6 cores can practically run at 6 different clock speeds. I have CPU-Z and CPUID HWMonitor.
Unfortunately I don't find much about this topic on the internet?
And why does the PC sometimes not do this at all,... does this have to do with the turbo mode? Because it goes above 3.6 GHz on some cores, yet the load is not high or at 2%....
This is the first time I've seen that 3 or 4 different clock speeds (can) run at the same time.
Hello all,
I have put together a PC for gaming, such as for CSGO, arma 3 etc..
My question: Is the pc so well put together or should I change something?
I researched for a really long time and thought that the price/performance ratio should be right, but then I saw a pc from medion at Mediamarkt for 2299 francs that is not badly equipped either. (https://www.mediamarkt.ch/de/product/_medion-erazer®-x67083-1878521.html)
My question is what would you do to buy the ready-made PC or assemble the one I have put together?

Thanks in advance for the feedback
Hello
Without OC the be quiet! Pure Rock (15.50cm) will do.
My suggestions for OC:
Air Cooler:
Scythe Cooler Mugen 5 (15.50cm)
be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 (16.28cm)
Noctua NH-D15 (16.50cm)
AIO Water Cooling:
NZXT Kraken x62 incl. AM4 (3cm)
Corsair H100i v2 (5.50cm)
Regarding space, of course a water AIO would be best.
The Mugen 5 also fits higher RAM bars, as the heatsink is offset. With Be Quiet and Noctua it could be tight.
I hope I was able to help.
It is best to post this in a discussion and not randomly on any product as a question. In a discussion it is also easier for several people to join in and give suggestions.
The best place to do this is in the PC, Mainboards or Graphics Cards category. Start a new discussion:

You will find discussions and community contributions in practically every category below the search bar.
Tip: Also have a look at the other posts regarding PC assembly.
It would work purely from the socket.
From experience with an i7 7700K and a Z170 chip, I can tell you that you have to update your mainboard to at least the 6th generation Skylake. Otherwise, your CPU will not be recognised or will not function as desired. But I can't say whether this would also be the case with your desired i5.
How do you see it with a Z270 chipset motherboard? You would have far fewer problems with such a motherboard.
Correct me if I'm wrong. These are simply empirical values
