I own a Gateway Fx ms2252 Which has the WiFi module: Model 512AN_ MMW Intel WiFi Link 5100 Can I replace it with this one? or with another one and or do I have no other choice but to try it out. Basically the wifi works, but there is no bluetooth built in and I got myself a dongle for the time being, but I haven't used it yet. Ideally, this would be unnecessary and I would have a USB port free again and WiFi 5.

I think it works. Try it out. I had problems with a Lenovo T500 laptop that did not accept the WLAN card and had blocked it as a whitelist in the bios.
