According to research, the cable has a length of 1.5m.
With a USB B / USB C adapter
Included in the delivery is a Lightning cable and a normal USB cable with which you can connect the microphone to the MacBook. I have not tested it with GarageBand. But I don't see why it shouldn't work there.

It has a Lightning connector... No jack or USB. I would say no. But it works great with the iPhone. Tip: For apps that don't recognise the Micro, GarageBand must run as a monitor. This app continues to run in the background.
