Operation on iMac 27" Hello all. How do I connect the monitor to my iMac 27" 5k. Do I need to get an additional cable? Thank you for the help

Depends on the vintage of the iMac, either a Thunderbolt2 to Displayport/HDMI or a Thunderbolt3 to Displayport/HDMI adapter is required.

Question: How do I get the monitor to run at 75Hz by default? Neither Windows nor the Nvidia control panel allow this (60hz maximum). I have tried both HDMI and Displayplort supplied and activated DP Port 1.2 in the options. Using resolution modification, I can push the screen up to 70Hz. Unfortunately, that's as far as it goes.

Hello Simon6677 As far as I can see correctly, this monitor should only support 60HZ. I also find the following info on the manufacturer's page: Physical resolution 3840 x 2160 @60Hz (DisplayPort, 8.3 megapixel 4K UHD). Hope I could help :) Kind regards

Are the icons (e.g. toolbars, the system toolbar on the Mac at the top of the screen) displayed SMALLER on this 4k monitor than on the iiyama B2791QSU-B1 (27", 2560 x 1440 pixels), which is also 27"? Thank you for your explanation!

In the full resolution 3840x2160 everything becomes very very small. However, you can adjust the scaling (Mac System Preferences - Display - Resolution). Then everything looks "natural". Small note: I use the display via HDMI cable on a Macbook (2017) with external adapter (no USB-C connection) and my refresh rate is not 60Hz (much lower) in this setup.
