Unfortunately, I can't answer your question exactly, but the following might be helpful: I cloned my laptop hard drive (Asus G551 with 750GB HDD) to a Sata SSD (Samsung 860 Evo with 1TB) with this adapter without any problems. I used Macrium Reflect as the software for cloning.

Hi Mike Unfortunately I haven't tested it exactly like this myself, but as far as I know it depends more on the SSD used in terms of the format supported by the TV & max memory on it.
No, this only works on a direct SATA connection. With USB, the connection remains active all the time.

That should basically fit. However, you will probably not get enough power to operate a 3.5" HDD with it.
Depending on the HDD, this should be possible.

This works without any problems. SSD/HDD in the title means SSD or hard disk. It simply has to be a disc with a SATA interface.
