I have tested these dokings with various notebooks from HP and Lenovo (via the USB-C interface). I had to perform a firmware update and/or Windows update on individual notebooks so that they worked perfectly. Docking has 2 USB-C ports, please use the correct one to connect to the notebook.

It depends on how the connection is established. Even if you connect your notebook via USB-C/Thunderbolt to your docking station, the transfer of the image runs according to one of the known protocols such as HDMI 1.x or 2.x or DisplayPort. For example, my HP notebook can handle 3440x1440 @60Hz with DisplayPort connection between docking station and screen. But if I connect the docking station and the screen via HDMI, then the protocol between notebook and docking station is of course also HDMI, then only 50Hz works. The reason is that the graphics chip of the notebook is not able to process more via HDMI protocol. Only via DisplayPort, which is fortunately supported via the USB-C connection.

What happens if you leave out the analogue connection? Is DP to DVI native then? Both connections are anything but optimal. DP to DVI is often problematic. And DP to VGA is also rather exotic. But I think it's most likely due to the notebook or the screen, which is reporting incorrectly. Don't you have any HDMI connections on the screen? DP (i-tec dock) to HDMI (screen) works better. You just have to be careful, because only DP output (notebook, dock) and HDMI input (screen) cables work. A reversed cable would not work again.

This docking solution requires a USB-C Thunderbolt connection; such connections are not usually available on normal PCs. It would be possible to use docking solutions that use DisplayLink technology to control additional monitors via USB 3.0. This docking solution could be used because it can use either the USB 3.0 or the USB-C port of the dock. i-tec USB 3.0 / USB-C Dual 4K Dock (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB A)

Hello, This is a native USB-C docking station. For it to work, your laptop's USB-C port must support either the alternative USB-C DisplayPort mode (native video transmission via USB-C) or Thunderbolt3. If you need a docking station that also works with the older USB-A port (USB 3.0), you can contact our technical support directly. We can recommend different options - depending on the required resolution of external monitors and laptop types.
