No, only the P20 Pro is IP67 and the P20 is IP57.

I just had the P20 Lite automatically upgraded to the Android 9 (Pie) system 3 days ago. But the feature set of Android 9 has been massively cut on these smartphones. Differences are hardly visible!

It's quite a cramp... meeeega slow. The phone is sometimes not working at all or very slowly when I'm in navi mode...
Generally, the range of functions is very limited... Spotify, navigation and phone... that's really it...

Yes, there are a large number of apps that make this possible. I used the "Phone Clone" app from Huawei and was able to transfer photos, contacts and documents. Apps from the Apple Store cannot be transferred, of course.

Memory is expandable, but then occupies the 2nd sim slot.

Is the app compatible? I don't know, I can't answer that. The Huawaei has its own migration tool, which works fine.
