No, the tape does not have this function.
You have to install the Huawei Health App so that you can read out the data. Linking with the Google app or something like that should also work, I think (but I don't need it myself).

I wore the watch all the time during my 10-day beach holiday in Cyprus, in the sea and in the hotel pool. I have not experienced any problems due to this.

Can be adjusted. The tilt movement, i.e. lifting the wrist, activates the watch or by touching the "home button". A permanent display is not possible, but also not necessary, because the watch always goes on as soon as you turn your wrist to look at the watch.
