The extendable rod antenna is already very good. However, I now use it on another DAB radio and have connected the HAMA to an external antenna (SAT) with a coaxial cable. This gives me top DAB+ reception, even from many German stations. The tuner has no connections for speakers, but must be connected to an amplifier via cinch.

Yes, it does. I supply the tuner with power via a Denon amplifier so that it only starts when the amplifier is running. It takes a while until it has found and established the stored WLAN connection. Then it plays the last Internet station called up. This also applies to DAB.

The tuner has a built-in equaliser. I used it because the basic setting didn't quite suit me either. Now I find the sound excellent.
