No unfortunately not, the Media Mod of the GoPro Hero 9 and 10 is rainproof but unfortunately not this one for the 8s
This product is only compatible with the gopro hero 8 black. For the gopro hero 9, 10 and 11, there is also a media mod available (according to the official gopro website): item number: 13875827 Hopefully I have been able to help you.

No, the camera is no longer waterproof with the housing. The cover of the battery/memory card compartment has to be removed, the housing fits well but is not completely watertight, and water can penetrate even more through the external connections of the housing.
