Google Chromecast Ultra EU Version

Since I myself received a Chromecast Ultra EU yesterday, I can also confirm that the above-mentioned anonymous "accepted response" from 25.02.2018 does NOT apply to this device version! (at best for another version) The RJ45 Ethernet socket is also located in the supplied plug-in power supply with 2-pin 240V Euro plug. Thus, the Chromecast Ultra "Puck" is supplied with power and the optional Ethernet signal via the cable permanently attached to the power supply unit via the USB-C input. If you want to operate the Puck without Ethernet (only WLAN) with power from the TV USB output (contrary to Google's recommendations), you would have to purchase an appropriate cable separately.
No adapter is needed (only for the US version). The plug is a narrow 2-pin plug that fits into any Swiss socket.
It is possible to mirror the screen. Everything you see and hear is transmitted. I don't have an ipad but it works fine on the pc and with android. I can even use my smartphone to project the wm broadcast via tv air app with the beamer.
Hello Katpan 123 Android 4.2 and higher iOS 9.1 and higher Mac OS X 10.9 and higher Windows 7 and higher :)
Chromecast is mainly worthwhile for 4K streaming via third-party applications. With internet-enabled TVs, you are always tied to the TV's own applications and the TV remote control. With Chromecast, you can stream anything you want from Android (& desktop Chrome). And this from any device in the WLAN. Whether music, pictures, videos, streams, screens, etc., you can do it all. There is no yes/no answer to your question, but I would never want to go back to the time when the TV could still be operated on the TV (instead of via tablet/laptop/mobile phone). That's probably more a matter of taste ;-)
According to Google, the adapter has Ethernet with 10/100 Mbit/s
There is no remote control included.
The high demand for stadia is probably to blame 🙃
Ja. Ich streame damit Netflix, Zattoo, YouTube...
The EU version has a Euro plug in which an RJ45 connection is also integrated. This way you can establish the connection via WLAN or LAN.
Only the supplier with a *small* surcharge. There is no difference.
I'll quote from the Sunrise website (you could have found this out with two minutes of googling): Requirements: iOS: Valid TV neo max subscription iPhone/iPad with iOS 11 or higher Latest version of the Google Home app - download from Google Play Store Chromecast (1st & 2nd generation and Chromecast Ultra) Screen with an HDMI input Internet connection Android: Valid TV neo max subscription Android Phone / Tablet (from Android vers. 7) Latest version of the Google Home app - download from Google Play Store Chromecast (1st & 2nd generation and Chromecast Ultra) Screen with an HDMI input Internet connection
Do you want to supply the Chromecast with Wi-Fi via a hotspot or are these two different networks? The latter shouldn't work, the former would have to be tried, but I've never tested it.
Works fine yes, as the chromechast ultra has a network connection via cable I would also use this.
You won't need more than 25 Mbit in the download.
It depends, you can mirror the screen but if you try to mirror an supported application then it might start the application on the chromecast and it will use its own internet connection (thats what happens on my android phone) . But you could try to share the VPN cpnnecrion with the chromecast via hotspot from your iphone. I hope this helps.
It's designed to be stable enough. If you just leave it alone, it shouldn't die from a cable break :)
Yes, this version is better and faster than the previous one and can be used in Switzerland.
Hello Bulug, I don't know what restrictions you mean. I have no problem with my Chromecast Ultra. Can you please elaborate on your question?
as long as the Chromecast a) can communicate with the internet unhindered (no captive portals!) and b) the Chromecast can communicate with the casting device (mobile phone, tablet, chrome browser) via the network, the device will have no particular trouble with guest WLANs
Yes, but the prerequisite is a corresponding subscription to Teleboy.
So: I bought the product in November 2019. The set includes the Google Chromecast (the thing is relatively small, diameter approx. 5.5 cm) with integrated HDMI plug and 1 power supply unit (with a Euro plug). Contrary to other statements: The power plug has an integrated RJ45 socket (only the Ultra version), which can be used to connect to LAN.
Hello That will not work. You need something like "Teufel Streamer", "Teufel Connector". This allows you to create speaker groups in the Google Home app. However, this only works if all your speakers have "Chromcast built-in". Teufel Raumfeld Connector (White, Black) Teufel Streamer (Black, USB Host, Bluetooth) Urbanears Lotsen (Grey, Bluetooth, Airplay) Hope could help you a little
