Yes, but be careful with apple tc or hdmi cec, they do not work properly, commands via hdmi are not passed on
I have the same problem with a Chromecast. I added an hdmi/toslink splitter directly to the chromecast. The HDMI goes to the box, then to the TV. And the sonos is connected directly in toslink. A simple hdmi splitter isn't enough, because the audio outputs aren't really independent.
Plug the Hdmi cable from the TV box into the box of the backlight kit and then another cable from the box to the TV set. The picture is recognised in this box and forwarded to the LED accordingly. However, there are slight delays.
The only thing I managed to change was the volume. In the settings on the Apple box you can change the option, but not the one for turning on the TV. I don't know why, maybe someone will succeed and explain to us how they did it.
Hello, With boxed systems, like this one, you have to use an external hdmi device. Personally, I use a chromecast. After that there are other systems with cameras that film the screen, but they are easily disturbed by the environment.
I think the box takes the picture signal from the TV box.
