The Gigaset Box 100 is a DECT base station designed for connection to a Sunrise router via an analogue telephone socket (RJ11). For your Gigaset C530 phone to work, you need to connect the Box 100 to the telephone port (TEL) of the Sunrise router, and then register the handset to the Box 100 via DECT.
However, some recent models of Sunrise routers (such as the Connect Box 3) may require a specific activation of the analogue telephone port by Sunrise, as this port is not always active by default. In addition, the router does not manage DECT phones directly, which is why Box 100 is needed as an intermediate DECT base.
Check that :
- Box 100 is connected to the router's TEL port using an RJ11 cable.
- The TEL port is activated in the Sunrise router configuration (via the web interface at
http://192.168.1.1).
- The Gigaset C530 handset is registered to the Box 100 using the usual DECT procedure.
If the TEL port is not active or if the Box 100 is not properly connected, the phone will not be able to connect.
