Helpful answer

The existing boundary wire of an older McCulloch/Husqvarna robot lawnmower cannot usually be used for the Gardena Sileno Minimo without further ado. Gardena robot lawnmowers use a specific boundary wire system that is designed to be compatible with their own charging stations and controllers. It is recommended to use the boundary wire supplied with the Gardena Sileno Minimo to ensure optimum function and safety. Direct compatibility or reuse of cables from other manufacturers such as McCulloch or Husqvarna is not documented and could lead to problems with navigation or operation. For safe and reliable use, the original boundary wire from Gardena should be used.

Basically yes. It is important that the boundary wire covers the entire area. I laid the cable under the approx. 3 cm thick garden slabs. The cable signal still worked. If the insulation of the cable is damaged by sharp edges of pebbles, there is no signal!

Can't answer that conclusively. The picture only shows a visual change at the charging station. Basically, the models differ in terms of surface area. The 250m2 is sufficient for me. But overall a good model. Very quiet and does its job.

I am now operating the Sileno for the second season. It does its job seriously. The blades are not rusty, I have not unscrewed the bearing. My advice: claim under warranty. Galaxus is generous. They took my Bosch Indego back and refunded the purchase price when the robot stopped dialling into the internet.

So on my side, it was also stopping for no reason at first with a message in English by very clear in the app. I had contacted the support who informed me that the mower had a daily limit that could not be exceeded 😤😤😤 In fact the 250m2 is limited in maximum operating hours. I had found this more than limiting, I think legally it is most certainly questionable...

The specified cable is not compatible. This is for irrigation systems. Cables are available as spare parts in different lengths, but we do not offer them. However, here are the manufacturer's numbers: 57-98.251.02 10 m 57-98.251.01 20 m 57-98.251.04 5 m 57-98.251.03 3 m

In principle, it could. However, the boundary wires could be a problem (only a cm measurement can be set for how much the boundary wire can be crossed). If this distance is set too small (e.g. so that it does not drive into the hedge), it will not mow to the end of the lawn as desired in most other places. In addition, if the gap is too small, the two boundary wires will get in each other's way. If the gap is about 40 cm, it should work. In addition, you have to work safely with the guide wire in this situation.
