I bought the lens from Digitec about 1.5 years ago. It came with a lens hood. I assume it is still like this. As usual with wide-angle lenses, it is tulip-shaped.
I need the XF 16-55 when I'm on the road and don't know what situation I'll encounter. It's "always ready", so to speak. It is just handy enough. For landscapes, however, I would choose a fixed focal length, because the natural feeling here is closer to Cinemascope than telephoto. Moreover, in landscapes you can usually choose your point of view, because the subject doesn't run away, and thus choose the best frame.
