LED universal rotary dimmer. It comes fully assembled and screwed down. But nowhere in the instructions does it say how to open it. Do I have to try to force the rotary switch out? Can I loosen something somewhere (but I don't see anything), so here's the question before I break the part.

Pull the round knob away from the cover, it is only attached to a metal pin. There should be a metal or plastic nut underneath that you can loosen.
