The 5 years are usually a period that suppliers and software developers (e.g. camera software) can contractually support and subsequently deliver. This is standard industry practice. But that doesn't mean that your phone will suddenly stop working after 5 years. Think of it as a "spare parts guarantee".
Huge is relative. I had a Nokia 8.1 before (on which I destroyed the display) and it had pretty similar dimensions. And I manage quite well with it
Especially with the Fairphone, part of the size is of course due to the repairability. Since that's why I chose it, I'm happy to accept a slightly chunkier phone. And after a short period of getting used to it, it feels quite normal.

That was also the reason why I switched from the FP2 to the FP3.
The FP3 can do 4G with both SIMs at the same time (and has a *significantly* better battery life, the camera is better, the SD card is recognised more reliably, etc.). IMHO a clear improvement all around).
Due to different purchasing conditions and changing suppliers over a certain period of time, price changes/fluctuations may occur. We generally work with daily prices.
You can't order from the showroom at all. The note "Showroom" only says that a copy of this phone is on display in Digitec showrooms. The one you get then is already a new one and not the one from the showroom😉.

Eligible with purchase date (at Digitec, other providers have different promotion periods) up to and including 15.04. and registration with Fairphone up to and including 31.04.
So if you register in time, i.e. by the end of the month, it should still work out (whereby: delivery period 6 weeks; presumably you want to buy your first case before then anyway).
My registration on Sun. 11.04. was still approved without any problems.

I have already punched about 20 SIM cards - and it worked well every time :)
I didn't dare to cut them myself, so I bought a SIM punch at that time - the ~16 CHF were well invested (instead of 40 CHF for a new SIM with my provider at that time).

Basically, I would recommend you to save the contacts before punching/cutting, e.g. on your mobile phone or in a Google/Microsoft/... account :)
The sustainability issue is difficult, there are other points that are not (yet) sustainable even with Fairphone. But it is fundamentally a problem because, for example, the mining and trading of necessary minerals in the mines of the countries of origin is not completely fair... I, too, have to live with this, but as an owner of the Fairphone for several years, I can give it my full praise, at least as far as its functionality is concerned. Apart from the fact that the headphone jack never worked right from the start 😉....
