I'm not sure. The device cleans the air. If you don't use the filter, the mechanics will still work, i.e. sucking in loft. But I'm not sure if there is a cheaper version for this?

I had no problems connecting the product in the app (Switzerland). There is a remote control with all the functions you need, but without the statistics if you don't need the app.

So this air purifier can't really cool. If you want it to be cooler, I recommend buying an air conditioner. That is the only thing that really helps. However, the air flow can be perceived as pleasant and at least it makes the room feel a little cooler. The device has helped me a lot with my allergies. I can't say whether it improves the quality of sleep for a non-allergy sufferer. However, if it is often "stuffy" in your room, this Dyson will definitely alleviate the problem!

I only know the formaldehyde unit, which I bought recently. It's ok and very quiet when not on the highest setting (we can sleep with it). Air quality feels better, but allergy time is over. The promise of "Cool Link" is a bit disappointing ... in the end an expensive fan. The next hay fever period in spring 2023 will show whether the CHF 799 is worth it. I honestly have a little doubt about the cost-benefit.... the cheaper air purifier (with water) from the Migros also did well. Needed cleaning often but was equivalent.

This is what the manufacturer says: The CADR is not a measure of the cleaning performance of an air purifier under real conditions (28.5 m³). Two additional fans increase the air distribution. Only one sensor measures the air quality. The Dyson POLAR test goes further and measures cleaning performance in a room the size of a real living room (81m³). No extra fans. Nine different sensors measure air quality at different locations in the room.
