There is a huge difference between these two subscriptions. With the connect subscription you only have 3 GB of data per month, with the iot Daten Flat you have unlimited data capacity. Conclusion: If you have little traffic, take the cheaper one (action), if you have a lot of traffic, then take the iot Daten Flat.

To answer your second question, regarding the phone number. You simply need two SIM slots in the mobile phone (dual sim). One sim card from your normal provider, e.g. swisscom. And the second sim from digitec. With android, you can then set sim 1 (main sim card) to be responsible for calls and sms and sim 2 (digitec sim) for mobile data. The internet then runs via sim 2, i.e. digitec.

Hello ElionM I used the card with a TP-Link Archer MR600 4G+ Dual Band Gigabit router. I used the Internet for a construction site in an absolute "nightmare hole" in central Switzerland and was very satisfied. During the day, most people had logged in to use the shared printer, and in the evening you could still stream easily. The card is now inactive at my place, but with the router well supplied to use the "team" again at any time. Unfortunately, I never did a speed test. Best wishes and good luck

There is a ticket system in the customer portal and the option to contact them by phone from 8am to 6pm. However, I have never tried this. You can find the ticket system after logging in via the help link at the bottom of the page. Telephone if you look in Frequently asked questions.

No, it is not possible to send text messages with this subscription. The SIM is primarily designed for data connection and is not technically activated for sending text messages.

Once the SIM card has been inserted in a compatible router like the TP-Link MR500, all you have to do is switch on the router, which will automatically detect the SIM card and connect to the mobile network. You can then connect to the router's WiFi using the SSID and password indicated on the device or in its manual, and surf the Internet. It's important that the SIM card is activated and registered beforehand, and that the PIN code is deactivated if necessary to avoid any blockages when connecting. Configuration can also be fine-tuned via the router's web interface, which can be accessed via a local IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.1). More specifically, for this type of mobile subscription with SIM card, you first need to register the SIM card on the dedicated portal, then insert the SIM into the router. The router should display a light indicating connection to the network (often blue or cyan). Once connected, the router shares the Internet connection via WiFi or Ethernet with the connected devices. The TP-Link MR500 is a 4G/5G router with a SIM slot, so it supports this type of physical SIM card. Make sure that the PIN code request is disabled on the SIM card to prevent the router from getting stuck at the code prompt. To sum up, the connection is made automatically once the activated SIM card has been inserted into the router, the router has been switched on, and the connection has been made to the WiFi network generated by the router. You can then manage the settings via the router's web interface if required.

No text messages can be sent with this SIM card. It is primarily designed for data connections and is not technically activated for outgoing text messages or phone calls, although it does have a telephone number for receiving text messages and calls. Sending SMS messages is not intended.

The SIM card with unlimited data volume and up to 300 Mbit/s download speed is well suited to supplying several devices such as PCs, TV/Apple TV and Playstation with Internet in the hobby room. The TP-Link Archer MR600 supports 4G+ Cat6 with up to 300 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload, has four Gigabit LAN ports for stable wired connections and two external LTE antennas for good reception. The speed should be sufficient for normal online gaming on PCs connected via LAN, even if not all devices are active at the same time. Compared to your previous 5G Wingo with around 70 Mbit/s download and 30-40 Mbit/s upload, you will be able to achieve a significantly higher maximum speed with the new SIM card and the MR600 router, which will result in faster downloads and a more stable connection. However, the latency and stability of mobile connections is generally not comparable to fibre optics, which can be noticeable when gaming. Since the Playstation and TV are not the top priority and the PCs are connected via LAN, the combination of this SIM card and the TP-Link Archer MR600 is well suited for your scenario to enable a smooth Internet experience when gaming.
