I am looking for an adapter to connect my MacBookAir to a UHD monitor - does this adapter transmit the resolution 2560x1440 at 60Hz or does it transmit HDMI 2.0? HDMI 1.4 is just not enough. the MacBookAir is from 2015, has thunderbolt, no usb-c

This adapter does not work for me with my MacBook Pro Retina. It only works with PC laptops, and even then with my Dell U2713HM NOT with UHD resolution, only HD. But it may be due to the monitor, which seems to support UHD only via Displayport, I have never seen UHD with HDMI.

I do not know that. But what I definitely know is that the adapter does not work with a Microsoft Surface 2 Pro.
