Is the converter compatible with the XGSPON-ONU SFP+ module (LTF7225-BH+) from Hisense? The module is used by WINGO.

Is it possible to get the Sunrise fibre box (10GB) out of the cabinet with this converter? The fibre connection is in my electrical cabinet and I would like to convert the signal to copper with this converter and then connect the Sunrise box there.

For information according to Delock "This media converter is best used for symmetrical 10 Gbps connections. Does this device also work with the previous Fiber7 optics (1Gbs)? I'm planning to switch to Fiber7-X, but I'm not there yet. I have inserted the previous SFP module - the fibre signal seems to come through ("SD" lights up), but no packets go through. I assumed that the unit was backwards compatible, Ethernet-side (10Gbs and 1Gbs) and fibre-side (10Gbs SFP+ and 1Gbs SPF). Is this not the case?

I am using the device with Fixer7-X and upgraded from Fiber7. The optics of SFP and SFP+ modules are different, so this converter is not expected to work with the previous optics when you switch to Fiber7-X. I got the following module from FS.COM: "SFP+ Transceiver Modul mit DOM - Generisch Kompatibel 10GBASE-BX BiDi SFP+ 1270nm-TX/1330nm-RX 10km DOM Simplex LC SMF" and I can confirm that this one works fine with Fiber7-X.

I ordered mine directly from Init7. 99 for module and fibre cable. From the Flexoptix brand. You can also order directly from Flexoptix. Just tell Init7 or Flexoptix that you want to use it in this media converter. Some of these things have to be pre-programmed for compatibility.

I currently have my internet connection with Sunrise and we recently had fibre optic switched on. Now I want to set this up with my setup. I had a Fritzbox that acted as a router connected to my Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro, which controlled everything internally. Now I would like to replace the Fritzbox (as it doesn't support fibre either) and as I have read, the Dream Machine doesn't have its own fibre modem built in. My question now is, can I connect this device behind my OTO box and then connect it to my router with an RJ45 cable, making my UDM Pro act as a router. Furthermore, I should be able to access this router directly via port releases and preferably not have to configure anything (or as little as possible) on the modem.

So this media converter only works with 10GBps transceivers. You need one of these to convert the light from the optical fibre into an RJ45 signal. As far as I know, the UDM Pro also has two slots, which would make this media converter superfluous. However, beware that Sunrise may use XGSPON, which many routers do not support. You'll have to check with Sunrise, if they give out such information at all. I am currently using this media converter with Fiber7-X (i.e. 10GBps) with a transceiver that I ordered from init7 with a QHora 301W, and it works wonderfully. But a UDM Pro should make this box superfluous.

Hello dear community. Which optics and which patch cable is needed here for Init7 Fiber7-X? And would this then work together with my Asus RT-AC5300 (which can only handle 1Giga)? I would like to use the router until I have decided on a new model. Thank you for any valuable answers or clarifications.

Does this converter support the SFP+ "Ubiquiti UF-SM-10G-S Set of 2"? The special thing about SFP+ is that it is simplex and not duplex.

I also have the converter and a duplex module is used. SFP+ works with duplex or simplex. With simplex, one glass strand is needed for the data flow in one direction and the other for the data flow in the other direction. With duplex, the data flow is in one glass strand in both directions. What do you want to use the converter for? Hello, I would like to know if I can use this device as the following: 1) connecting the Swisscom fiber (XGS-PON) to this device 2) connecting the rj45 from this device to my Asus AX89X 3) connecting from the Asus router to my devices (computer, tv etc) Thank you!

It could work, but your ASUS router does not support the settings which are needed for the WAN Port, as far as I can tell. DHCP Option 60 set to 100008,0001 and VLAN ID 10. It seems the Asus router is not capable of supporting fiber ISP connections. Ask Asus.
